Google Bard: The USA tech giant Google announced On 7th February 2023 that it is going to roll out Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered chatbot named Bard to come in the next coming weeks.

Here is Tweet that was tweeted by Sundar Pichai.

WHAT IS GOOGLE BARD? What

LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications) powers Bard, an experimental conversational AI service. The business claims that a small group of testers will use it before releasing it to the general public in the coming weeks.

“It is Built using large language models and drawing on information from the web, it’s a launchpad for curiosity and can help simplify complex topics,” Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, wrote in a blog post. Google also announced other new AI tools for the current search engine.

Google claims that this bard ai chatbot will enable it to provide the chatbot to a greater number of users and collect feedback to address issues with the chatbot’s response quality and accuracy.

“Two years ago we unveiled next-generation language and conversation capabilities powered by our Language Model for Dialogue Applications (or LaMDA for short). We’ve been working on an experimental conversational AI service, powered by LaMDA, that we’re calling Bard. And today, we’re taking another step forward by opening it up to trusted testers ahead of making it more widely available to the public in the coming weeks,” Google wrote in a blog post.

Bard aims to combine the power, intelligence, and creativity of our large language models with the breadth of knowledge in the world. In order to give responses that are new and of high quality, it uses data from the internet.

Google says that Bard can be a way to express your creativity and spark your curiosity. It can help you tell a 9-year-old about new discoveries from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope or learn more about the best strikers in football right now, then give you drills to improve your skills.

“This much smaller model requires significantly less computing power, enabling us to scale to more users, allowing for more feedback,” Google said.

Bard, according to Google, can be used to simplify difficult subjects, such as explaining recent discoveries from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to a 9-year-old. The company will initially release it with our LaMDA lightweight model.

Following Microsoft’s multibillion-dollar investment in the company that developed the AI chatbot, OpenAI, there was widespread speculation that Microsoft would soon incorporate the AI chatbot ChatGPT into its search engine Bing.

ChatGPT is an AI-powered chatbot that responds to user questions and requests by employing natural language processing (NLP), a subfield of machine learning. As defined by ChatGPT- “Its ‘AI is trained on a dataset of internet text and is able to generate human-like text in response to prompts. It can be used for a variety of natural languages processing tasks such as language translation, text summarization, and question answering.”
